Dewi's Operation for Broken Arm
Update: Dewi has returned to the Yayasan, hurray!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday we received information from another kid that Dewi got into an accident 1 week ago and her arm broke. Her parents cant take her to the doctor because no money. Her brother also got into an accident 1 and a half month ago with a broken leg and it got infected. Michael took them to Sanglah hospital for a check up and the x ray showed that Dewi's arm is indeed broken, Komang's leg is also infected. Dewi needed to undergo surgery fast because it has been some time since it broke.

Trina's Grandma Needs Help
We took a survey trip to the poor area of Karangasem, and visited Trina's grandma. Trina lived here before coming to YKPA. Her grandma's home is a broken place. The roof has many holes so the rain gets to her bed. Wind comes right in the bamboo walls. She also has no mattress.

New Prosthetic Leg for Bunga
Today we took Bunga to make a new prosthetic leg. Even though Bunga is a street kid in Bali who still has to look for money on the streets, she comes to class everyday at ABC Shanti School with the YKPA Kids. Soon, she will have a new prosthetic leg because her old one is too short for her.
